Job summary

Middlesex County Magnet Schools is seeking a Varsity Baseball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary will be based on the Junior/Varsity coaches' salary guide in effect for 2026-2027. Appointments are annual.

Openings are at East Brunswick Magnet School, Perth Amboy Magnet School, and Piscataway Magnet School. The candidate must hold valid NJ teaching/substitute certificates, be knowledgeable in baseball, and have CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• Be the holder of a New Jersey State Teacher's Certificate and/or a County Substitute's Certificate.
• Have a knowledgeable background of the sport as a player or coach in college or in high school.
• Three years of sub-varsity coaching preferred.
• Coaches must be certified in CPR/AED and Sports First Aid and, if new to the profession, register for the NFHS Coaching Principles Course within 120 days of employment.
• Certifications must be completed before the first day of the season.

Brief Description

The Board of Education of Middlesex County Magnet Schools is accepting applications for the Varsity Baseball Coach position. Salary will be based on the Junior/Varsity coaches' salary guide in effect for the 2026-2027 school year. Appointments are made on an annual basis. Baseball openings are currently available at:

• East Brunswick Magnet School
• Perth Amboy Magnet School
• Piscataway Magnet School

Qualifications

Be the holder of a New Jersey State Teacher's Certificate and/or a County Substitute's Certificate, have a knowledgeable background of the sport as a player or coach in college or in high school, three years of sub-varsity coaching preferred, and a successful background in working with young people in a related sports field. Coaches must be certified in CPR/AED and Sports First Aid and, if new to the profession, register for the NFHS Coaching Principles Course within 120 days of employment. The candidate must have completed the "A Guide to Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention" course as well as the "Concussion in Sports - What you need to Know." Certifications must be completed before the first day of the season.
