Job summary

Northridge High School in the Greeley-Evans School District 6 is seeking a Head Track and Field Coach. You will oversee the program, coordinate with the Athletic Director and supervise assistant coaches, making decisions aligned with the district’s sports goals.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR certification, CHSAA test and concussion education, and prior coaching in this sport. Bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required; CPR certification required.
  • CHSAA test and regulation knowledge is required.
  • Concussion training/education must be completed.
  • Prior coaching experience in track and field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the head track/field program and supervise assistants.
  • Organize and supervise game help and activities during the season.
  • Make decisions aligned with the program direction and district goals.

Salary: Salary placement on our Co-Curricular Salary schedule is dependent on the sport, club, organization or program and the employees' in-district experience as outlined in Article XXIII of the Master Contract. Click here for more information.

Contract Length/Days: (2026-2027/ Varies)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective: Responsible for all aspects of head coach; overseeing assistant coaches; making decisions based on the direction of the program.

Essential Functions: Organizing and supervising game help. Assists with supervision at activities.

Additional Qualifications: Applicant must complete concussion training.

Other Duties: Knowledge, Skills, and Mental Ability.

  • Knowledge of Colorado and district content standards.
  • Knowledge and skills sufficient to perform all duties of the position.
  • Prefers leadership situations relating to meeting the social, emotional, psychological and academic needs of students.
  • Prefers a work environment where flexibility, ability to deal with conflict, a high tolerance for stress, an ability to quickly internalize information and make informed decisions, and long hours are a part of the assignment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises assistant coaches

Work Environment / Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods of time, numerous distractions, visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity important. Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.

Travel: As needed.
