A school in Mooresville is seeking a Head Tennis Coach to guide their tennis program. The ideal candidate will have previous coaching experience, strong communication skills, and a deep knowledge of tennis. This position will involve fostering positive relationships with students and staff while contributing to the overall goals of the athletic department.
DECATUR MIDDLE SCHOOL HEAD TENNIS COACH
School Features:
● Approximately 1100 students, grades 7 and 8
● School is located in southwest Marion County
Program Features:
● Member of Jr. Mid-State Conference with Franklin Community MS, Greenwood MS, John Wooden MS - Martinsville, Paul Hadley MS - Mooresville, Perry Meridian MS, Plainfield MS, and Clark Pleasant MS - Whiteland
● Certified athletic trainer on staff
Qualifications:
● Previous playing and/or coaching experience preferred
● Excellent communication and leadership skills
● Knowledge of tennis skills, competition, and strategy
● Ability to form positive relationships with student-athletes, school staff, and community members
● Ability to organize, supervise, and administer all phases of an education-based tennis program
● Ability to contribute positively to building the program, aligning with varsity program goals and athletic department mission
