Job summary

Ozark Action, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Head Start Teacher at the Thayer Head Start in Thayer, Missouri. Rate of Pay: Credentialed (Rg 13) $16.21; Teacher I (Rg 12) $17.30; Teacher II (Rg 11) $18.37; Teacher III (Rg 10) $19.46 per hour. Non-credentialed staff start at Range 14– $15.13 per hour.

Responsibilities include promoting social, emotional, and educational development, supporting families, and directing classroom staff. Applications accepted through 09/29/2026; EOE.

Qualifications

• Credentialed EHS Teacher—High School Diploma or HiSET and Infant-Toddler CDA or equivalent.
• Credentialed Teacher—High School Diploma or HiSET and Preschool CDA or equivalent.
• Teacher I—EHS/HS with Associate Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent coursework.
• Teacher II—EHS/HS with Bachelor’s Degree + 12 ECE credits; Infant-Toddler coursework for EHS.
• Teacher III—EHS/HS with Master’s Degree + 12 ECE credits; Infant-Toddler coursework for EHS.

Responsibilities

• Meet established child development outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Contribute to team effort.
• Promote the Head Start program.
• Develop professional and technical knowledge.
