Job summary

DAEOC is seeking substitutes for our Head Start/Early Head Start centers. The successful candidate will work cooperatively, assisting center staff with the operations of the center/classroom and other duties as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities include assisting with assessments, maintaining positive relationships with children and families, and following Head Start standards and program policies. The role requires punctuality, teamwork, and a valid Missouri driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Valid Missouri Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom staff and be actively engaged in classroom operations.
• Carry out duties as assigned according to Head Start standards and program policies.
• Assist with assessments and screenings as directed.
• Ensure no child is left alone and maintain safety for children.
• Maintain professional demeanor with children, families, staff and public.
• Keep data entry up to date as directed.
