Job summary

Central Kentucky Head Start seeks a part-time Substitute Instructional Assistant in Radcliff, KY to implement instructional experiences for preschool children under the guidance of a Head Start Teacher. This as-needed role supports development across social, emotional, physical, and educational domains.

You will engage children with diverse activities, help plan lessons around their interests, and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom while preserving teacher-child ratios.

Responsibilities

• Implements instructional experiences under the direction of the Head Start Teacher for preschool children.
• Assists to ensure every child is engaged in a variety of learning experiences.
• Completes required annual training and professional development hours.
• Supports progress of English Language Learners in both languages.
• Assists in planning classroom activities using each child’s interests.
• Maintains a safe and healthy environment while upholding teacher-child ratios.
• Assists in assessment and documentation/recordkeeping.
• Promotes positive staff relationships to foster a conducive learning climate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

# Head Start SubstituteRadcliff, KY Part-Time---JOB PURPOSE: The Head Start Instructional Assistant Substitute is responsible for implementing instructional experiences, under the direction of the Head Start Teacher, for preschool children for adequate development in the social, emotional, physical, and educational processes.
