Job summary

Capital Area Head Start is seeking substitutes to support classroom staff in delivering quality educational programming for children ages 3-5. This casual/per diem role assists with daily lesson plans and activities and ensures child safety.

Positions are non-exempt, with hours between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM, based at centers in Dauphin and Cumberland counties. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and clearances; preferred qualifications include CDA or associate degree in early

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and learn web-based systems.
• Ability to travel to home visits, training, and other locations.
• Successful completion of pre-employment process including criminal history, child abuse and FBI clearances.
