Job summary

MWVCAA is seeking a Site Cook 2 for its Head Start program in Oregon. You will prepare breakfasts, lunches and snacks for children at the site and for assigned non-cooking sites, and may assist a team of Site Cook 1's at large sites.

This is an on-call role up to 19 hours per week, with driving across several nearby communities. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year cooking for groups of 25 or more people; driver qualifications and background checks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year cooking for groups of 25 or more people.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
• Prepares food in compliance with CACFP guidelines and menus.
• Follows recipes and cycles menu to ensure consistent quality.
• Provides correct foods for children with allergies or dietary needs.
• Exhibits time management to complete meals on schedule.
• Work with classroom staff for nutrition activities.
