Job summary

Community Action Agency Of Oklahoma is seeking a Head Start Mental Health Services Coordinator to coordinate mental health services across the Head Start program in collaboration with cooperative agencies. The role includes serving as the special education intake coordinator for referrals, teacher consultation, community awareness, and referrals to outside agencies.

The position emphasizes protective collaboration, crisis counseling, and the development of IEPs for children with disabilities

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Special Education or related field.
Five (5) years of experience in services to children with special needs.
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and transportation available.
Must meet fingerprinting requirements.
Meet required Work Environment standards.

Responsibilities

Coordinate mental health services across the Head Start program.
Serve as the special education intake coordinator for site referrals and teacher consultation.
Provide crisis counseling and referrals to outside agencies.
Develop and maintain a confidential records system for disabilities services.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and LEA personnel to develop IEPs for children with disabilities.
