Job summary

Midcoast Maine Community Action in Bath, ME is seeking an Education Manager for the Head Start program. You will oversee planning, administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Education Content Area, supervising staff and supporting teaching teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (master’s preferred), 3–5 years of related experience, and strong skills in curriculum planning, training, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum three years of related experience; five years preferred.
• Experience in curriculum planning, teacher training, and employee supervision.
• Strong communication, organization, coordination, liaison, and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to work effectively with families, staff, community partners, and professional groups.
• Administrative, grant, computer, spreadsheet, and child assessment database experience preferred.
• Ability to track and analyze data for continuous program improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and improve Head Start education services.
• Supervise Center Coordinators and support hiring, evaluation, and training.
• Coordinate with leadership, parents and staff to support services.
• Provide classroom consultation and program support to teaching staff.
• Analyze data for reporting, planning and improvement.
• Represent the program in community meetings and partnerships.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
