Job summary

Hastings High School is seeking a highly qualified Head Softball Coach with a strong background in high school and/or collegiate coaching. The role emphasizes developing student-athletes, coordinating varsity and JV/C teams, and building positive relationships with the school and local community.

The coach will report to the Athletic Director and Principal, lead instruction, and model a values-based, transformational philosophy aimed at long-term personal and athletic growth for student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have high school and/or collegiate level coaching experience.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
• Commitment to develop positive relationships between the program and the local community.
• Experience reporting to the Athletic Director and Principal.

Responsibilities

• Advise, coordinate, and support the athletic personnel for the Varsity team and provide guidance to the Junior-Varsity and C teams.
• Coordinate instruction, training, and development of all athletes and coaches in this sport.
• Model a transformational, purpose-driven philosophy and a values-based coaching approach.
• Represent a holistic definition of success and contribute to a positive school community.

Hastings High School is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as Head Softball Coach.

Candidates are desired to have successful high school and/or collegiate level coaching experience, and/or related successful experiences in educational leadership. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.

This position reports to the Athletic Director and Principal, who provide overall job objectives and observe performance.

This coach will advise, coordinate, and support the athletic personnel for the Varsity team and provide guidance and support to the Junior-Varsity and C teams, according to expectations of the Athletic Director and Principal.

This coach is expected to coordinate the instruction, training, and development of all athletes and coaches at this level in your sport; model a transformational, purpose-driven philosophy; represent a holistic definition of success; commit to personal development and collaboration; display a values-based approach as a coach who develops people first, and then the athlete; coaches the athlete first, and then the skill; coaches for the student-athletes before themselves; makes a lasting, positive impact on the school community; has meaningful, rewarding personal coaching experiences.
