Job description

$170k to $190k base plus up to 15% bonus and excellent benefits

We are hiring a Head of Supply Chain for a profitable, founder led, mid 8 figure consumer brand that has grown rapidly across DTC, Amazon, marketplaces and retail.

The business is entering its next stage of scale and needs someone to build the supply chain operating system to support it.

This is not a role where you inherit a mature planning team, established processes and perfect data. You will have genuine ownership and the opportunity to build.

You will initially be extremely hands on, with direct access to the CEO and senior leadership, and will help define the team, systems and infrastructure required as the business grows.

The challenge

This is a high SKU, highly dynamic consumer business with new product launches every week.

Demand does not behave like a conventional replenishment catalogue. Products can experience significant launch spikes, sell through quickly, replenish strongly and then move through very different lifecycle curves.

Some scarcity is deliberate. Some stockouts are expensive. The challenge is knowing the difference.

The successful person will bring structure, data and commercial judgement to a supply chain that has historically relied heavily on spreadsheets, experience and individual decision making.

Your immediate priorities
Build the planning and purchasing engine

Create a company wide demand, replenishment and factory purchasing process that connects DTC demand, launches, promotions, Amazon, retail and wholesale commitments with inventory, lead times and cash.

Own factory purchasing and supplier execution

Take responsibility for purchase order timing and quantities, production visibility, supplier performance, lead times and escalation across a predominantly Asia based manufacturing supply chain.

Drive the 3PL relationship

Own the operating cadence with the fulfilment partner, including SLAs, inventory accuracy, order flow, service performance, invoice auditing, corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Create trusted operational controls

Build the KPIs, reporting and processes that connect purchase orders, inbound receipts, inventory, fulfilment activity, freight costs and Finance.

Help build the next stage of the function

Work closely with leadership to determine the technology, processes, supplier strategy and future team structure required to support the next phase of growth.

What you will own
  • Demand planning, replenishment and lifecycle inventory decisions
  • Factory purchase orders and supplier relationships
  • Inventory allocation across DTC, Amazon, marketplaces and wholesale
  • International inbound freight, customs, receiving and inventory accuracy
  • 3PL performance, SLAs, operational reviews and invoice auditing
  • Outbound fulfilment performance and shipping economics
  • Supply chain KPIs, SOPs and operating cadence
  • Partnership with Finance around inventory, accruals, purchase orders, receipts and logistics costs
  • Supply chain requirements and adoption across NetSuite, reporting and adjacent systems
What we are looking for

You are likely already operating at Director, Senior Director or Head of Supply Chain level within a consumer brand.

More important than title, you can demonstrate that you have personally built things.

We want to see:
  • Meaningful end to end supply chain ownership within a fast growing consumer business
  • Experience creating or materially rebuilding demand planning, replenishment and purchasing processes
  • Personal ownership of at least one significant 3PL or warehouse transition, including stabilization after launch
  • Direct responsibility for factory or supplier relationships, purchase orders, inbound freight and inventory
  • Strong understanding of how supply chain decisions affect cash, margin and working capital
  • Experience operating across DTC plus Amazon, marketplaces, retail or wholesale
  • The ability to work comfortably in Excel or Google Sheets while also helping shape ERP and data processes
  • Confidence working directly with founders and senior leadership and making decisions with imperfect information

Experience with Asia manufacturing, NetSuite, Power BI, Walmart, EDI or very high SKU launch led businesses would all be valuable, but none is a substitute for genuine end to end ownership.

The profile that will thrive here

You are a builder rather than a caretaker.

You can move from analysing a forecast to challenging a factory PO, investigating an inventory discrepancy, reviewing a 3PL invoice and presenting the commercial implications to the CEO.

You are comfortable entering an environment where some processes still need to be created.

You do not need a large team of analysts before you can make progress.

And you are excited by the opportunity to take a function that has grown quickly and turn it into something genuinely scalable.

If that sounds like you, I would love to speak.
