Job summary

ExoTerra, a subsidiary of Voyager Technologies, seeks a Director of Spacecraft Systems Engineering to lead the engineering division, set technical standards, and serve as the technical face to customers. You will build and manage a team of functional managers and report to the General Manager.

You will own technical quality, chair boards, and translate company priorities into clear direction for your teams, while delivering customer-aligned engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of aerospace engineering experience, including spacecraft systems engineering with propulsion, power electronics, control systems, and structural design.
• Experience managing technical teams and conducting trade studies across multiple systems.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and verifying requirements and working with risk management.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Authority for the division, reviewing designs and maintaining technical standards.
• Chair the Engineering Review Board and the Risk Review Board, and serve as a voting member of the Failure Review Board.
• Lead the engineering organization by managing functional managers, setting expectations, reviews, and HR actions.
• Represent engineering to customers, present technical information, and ensure deliverable documents meet standards.
