Job summary

Performance Review Institute (PRI) is seeking a Director of Engineering - Applications to lead internal and external facing software platforms, including microservices and AI/ML components. You will drive architecture, governance, and a high-performance engineering culture across insourced and outsourced teams.

You will partner with product, UX, and other engineering groups to deliver scalable, reliable systems, maintain budget discipline, and elevate release governance and code quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 7+ years of hands-on development.
• 7+ years leading and developing high-performing software engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing and operating Microservices architectures in production.
• Strong leadership, people-management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and strategic thinking aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for technology strategy, software engineering oversight, code quality, and release governance.
• Define team structure, mentor staff, recruit, and manage performance across engineering teams.
• Develop and execute technology roadmap, ensure innovation and platform performance.
• Collaborate with product management, solution architects, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Monitor budgets for software engineering, drive efficiency, and risk mitigation.
