Job summary

Amazon Science seeks a Communications Manager to own the platform's strategy, editorial standards, and publishing cadence. You will work directly with researchers to surface differentiating stories and drive engagement with external audiences.

You will lead end-to-end content operations, collaborate with a broad set of teams, and help shape how Amazon Science communicates breakthroughs in AI and quantum computing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional communications or public relations experience.
• Ability to translate complex technical topics into accessible stories across audiences and formats.
• Experience owning a content platform, publication, or editorial operation end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform vision and strategy, define stories and audiences, and determine formats and multimedia storytelling.
• Run the publishing operation, set editorial standards, voice, house style, and publishing cadence.
• Partner with researchers to extract meaningful narratives and elevate research stories.
• Measure performance, identify improvements, and redesigned intake mechanisms for best work.
• Collaborate on conference strategy and cross-functional communications campaigns.
• Collaborate with communications leads across Amazon's businesses to seed and support campaigns.
