Job description

About the role

We are searching for an elite growth leader, ready to play the game of their career. You will be leading a passionate and highly motivated team of over 10-20 reps across the West of the United States of America to a scale that very few businesses ever achieve, whilst having an impact on one of America’s most vital industries, Agriculture. Leading the West, you will be covering the full customer cycle from new sales through to account management. We’re looking for someone with commercial nous, X-factor, charisma, highly competitive yet technically strong as a sales leader… and the ability to hit a target nobody can yet see possible. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in leading the region’s growth past the hundreds of millions of ARR. Roles of this scale, in a hyper‑growth business, simply don’t come around often. You’ll be excited by exponential growth, and feel right at home leading on ambitious strategies. When the pressure is on in the biggest moments, you’ll be someone who wants to be in the game. You might find yourself juggling time on ranch with customers, coaching and developing your team, through to driving growth strategy and cross‑functional priorities within Halter. You’ll be masterful at building trusting relationships, driving sales processes, managing large pipelines and enabling a team, whilst advocating for customers with a solutions‑oriented mindset. Aside from jumping on the Halter roller coaster, you will be making a real world impact, making farming more productive and sustainable. You will build relationships across America’s most influential ranching leaders, who also happen to be some of the most down to earth, genuine humans you will ever meet. This is a high‑stakes role, spearheading Halter’s growth in the West.

Who we are looking for
  • Someone who doesn’t believe in glass ceilings and walks towards the pressure of large targets and thrives on hard problems.
  • Experience in growing new and existing businesses, developing market strategies and more importantly, a track record of delivering high growth.
  • Experience working with customers, navigating complex sales cycles and expanding value over time.
  • Strong ability to work cross‑functionally and lead teams.
  • A deep passion for helping ranchers succeed. Experience in farm systems or within the agricultural sector would be a bonus.
  • A phenomenal attitude and a team player with the ability to consistently overcome challenges.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced working environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • A hunger for success and personal growth to be able to evolve quickly alongside a world‑class sales team.
What your day could look like
  • Sales Leadership: Work closely with the Director of Sales, lead sales strategy, set headcount requirements, regions and work closely with Halter leaders to form targets before laying that out to your team into an inspiring vision.
  • Manage your team’s inputs on a week to week basis, set the team’s cadence, set and track KPI’s and develop excellent pipeline hygiene.
  • Coach and develop: Your team to become better every week. Adapt Halter’s existing processes to develop and implement training programs for the West team, ensuring continuous skill enhancement and alignment with company objectives. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the sales organisation.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the West team. Set clear performance expectations, KPIs and provide regular feedback. Lead on hiring and performance management. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes vulnerability and learning.
  • Account Management: Ensure a seamless and positive customer experience across the entire customer lifecycle. Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement improvement initiatives continuously. Work closely with your team to resolve any issues and ensure customer retention and expansion. Work in lock step with the Launch, Support and Product functions to ensure tight collaboration across every customer touchpoint.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive regional strategy to expand our market presence and achieve growth objectives. Identify new market opportunities and drive initiatives to increase market share. Collaborate closely with leaders across Halter to align on goals and objectives.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders, and product and support teams to ensure exceptional results for the West Team.
  • Networking: Building and leveraging industry relationships to establish and maintain Halter’s brand.
