Head of Sales (Nutrition & Pharma)

Required Experience: Successful candidates will have experience managing or leading sales teams focusing on raw material within the Pharma, Life Sciences, Nutrition, or Specialty Chemical industries.

Location: Remote with travel across North, Central, and South America (approx. 50%)

Compensation: $150,000 -$180,000 + 20% bonus & company vehicle

Are you a dynamic sales leader with a strong background in the nutrition, life sciences, specialty chemical, or pharmaceutical sectors? Our client, a global leader in life sciences, is seeking a Head of Sales to lead their Nutrition and Pharma sales operations across North, Central, and South America.

About the Role

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving regional commercial strategy, managing sales teams, and expanding market share. You’ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to meet ambitious growth goals, with a strong focus on the U.S. market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans across the Americas.
  • Lead special growth projects and oversee product launches.
  • Monitor and optimize pricing, forecasts, and budget performance.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead a remote, regional sales team; hire, coach, and drive performance.
  • Set KPIs, lead training efforts, and support professional development.
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships; represent the company at trade shows and events.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with global leadership and departments like Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Quality.
  • Provide regular updates on financials, sales performance, and project progress.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience in life sciences, nutrition, pharma, or specialty chemicals.
  • 5+ years in a commercial leadership role with experience leading remote or regional teams.
  • Proven success in driving revenue growth and leading complex sales cycles.
  • Deep knowledge of the North American market; familiarity with Central/South America is a plus.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international trips.
