This is a full-time position based in Berlin

Objective of the Role

This is a senior management position in our commercial Marketing Solutions business. Our Marketing Solutions products are designed to show researchers ads for the products and services they need to do their work. We provide companies offering these products and services with the opportunity to target their ads to specific scientific audiences. Your role will be to ensure your team drives revenue in a way that benefits our customers and the scientists on the ResearchGate network.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of senior sales managers responsible for helping Life Science companies utilize ResearchGate’s Marketing Solutions to meet their business and marketing goals.
  2. Manage all aspects of the sales process, from team development to strategic account planning, and serve as a senior contact for our customers.
  3. Inspire and coach a team of front-line Sales Managers to excel and accelerate client success.
  4. Create impact beyond your core role by influencing cross-functional teams and demonstrating organizational leadership.
  5. Act as a senior seller when required, managing relationships with high-value strategic accounts.
Requirements:
  1. At least 5 years of people management experience and several years of direct sales experience.
  2. Strong customer orientation, with the ability to develop compelling, integrated sales narratives for senior leaders.
  3. Experience leading a team in global account penetration and expansion across multinational customers, including cultivating VP and C-Level relationships.
  4. Proven track record of leading initiatives within senior leadership to drive innovation, build buy-in, and ensure execution.
  5. Experience providing feedback and thought leadership to product and marketing teams to guide priorities and meet sales objectives.
  6. Experience with digital advertising, especially within the Life Sciences industry, focusing on marketing and content marketing.
  7. Passion for driving positive customer outcomes.
