Job description

The Reengineering Program Director drives complex, cross-functional initiatives that improve operational performance, financial outcomes, scalability, and customer experience. The role leads to work from opportunity assessment and business-case development through implementation, adoption, and benefit realization, while providing data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders.

The Reengineering Program Director leads through influence and cross-functional coordination rather than direct people management. Own the enterprise reengineering roadmap and lead prioritized initiatives from opportunity assessment through implementation, adoption, and value realization.

Coordinate cross-functional teams across Operations, IT, Finance, Product, Clinical, and other functions, leading through influence rather than direct authority.

Manage initiative budgets, resource requirements, delivery performance, risks, and issue escalation against agreed scope, timeline, and quality standards.

Develop business cases, ROI/TCO models, and financial justifications based on documented baselines and transparent assumptions.

Align initiatives to measurable outcomes, including hard-dollar savings, cost avoidance, growth, quality, efficiency, and customer experience.

Partner with Finance and business owners to validate committed benefits, track realized results, and address performance gaps.

Conduct post-implementation reviews and transition sustained benefit tracking to accountable operational owners.

Operational & Process Transformation
  • Assess current-state operations, performance baselines, pain points, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities.
  • Design scalable solutions that improve efficiency, throughput, quality, cost structure, and customer experience.
  • Define implementation requirements and transition completed initiatives to operational owners with clear controls and performance measures.
  • Lead vendor evaluations, RFIs/RFPs, due diligence, implementation oversight, and performance assessments; support contracting in partnership with Legal and Procurement.
  • Develop TCO models, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments to support recommendations and investment decisions.
  • Provide data-driven advice to executive stakeholders on operational performance, cost optimization, scalability, and growth.
  • Translate complex challenges into clear options, recommendations, decisions, and actionable transformation roadmaps.
  • Present progress, risks, tradeoffs, and decision requests to senior leaders and governance forums.
Change Management
  • Develop change strategies, stakeholder plans, communications, training, and reinforcement activities appropriate to each initiative.
  • Identify and mitigate adoption risks, resistance, and organizational barriers.
  • Build a working understanding of Integra's operating model, strategic priorities, performance drivers, and governance.
  • Assess core workflows, current performance, pain points, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities across key functions.
  • Evaluate the existing technology and vendor landscape, reporting, active initiatives, and delivery risks.
  • Launch and govern a prioritized enterprise reengineering roadmap aligned to strategic and financial objectives.
  • Advance high-impact initiatives from assessment through implementation with clear ownership, milestones, dependencies, and risk controls.
  • Achieve measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, quality, scalability, and customer experience.
  • Complete post-implementation reviews and transition sustained adoption and performance ownership to business leaders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, operations, technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Preferred: MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Preferred: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, change management, or comparable professional certification.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, consulting, transformation, program leadership, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives through influence and without direct authority.
  • Experience in operations-intensive environments, such as healthcare services, revenue cycle management, utilization management, contact centers, or comparable service operations.
  • Experience developing business cases, financial models, executive recommendations, and measurable benefit-realization plans.
  • Experience with technology-enabled transformation, vendor evaluation, implementation oversight, and operational handoff.
  • Program and portfolio management, including scope, dependencies, risks, decisions, resources, and governance.
  • Strategic problem-solving, process improvement, and operating-model redesign.
  • Financial acumen, including ROI, TCO, business-case development, and benefit validation.
  • Data-driven decision-making, performance measurement, and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Technology and vendor strategy, including sourcing, evaluation, implementation, and performance oversight.
