Job description

MatterMore's mission is to provide our clients with frontier workforce intelligence, steering how humans work with each other and with AI by applying advanced research techniques from data science, I/O psychology, and other fields to an expanding set of workforce data.

About the role

MatterMore delivers intelligence that companies use to make critical decisions for transforming their workforce. We enable business leaders to skillfully navigate AI transformation to empower human and economic flourishing. We distill vast amounts of enterprise data into truth, turn that truth into actionable insights, and compose those insights into stories that move executive stakeholders to make informed, high-impact decisions.

We are a dedicated team of researchers and engineers working with global Fortune 500 enterprise customers. We are looking for someone who can fuse product-building, analytics, and design. You will lead product direction for our workforce intelligence & transformation platform – prototyping new ideas and continuously shipping production-quality features to customers. You will guide our data scientists, engineers, and data analysts through close collaboration. You'll need strong taste and intuition and an opinionated perspective – thriving under intense ambiguity.

We have customers and a working delivery model. You will turn the feedback of what’s working into product that scales across accounts while shaping what our holistic platform becomes.

We're seeking a highly technical product leader, with the analytics background to understand what we can do with our rich datasets and team’s capabilities, along with the product and business chops to determine what we should do, to provide transformative value to our industry-leading customers. If this sounds like you – let’s talk!

Responsibilities
  • Ship enterprise-grade product that helps users make critical workforce decisions and get the answers they need – measuring success by impact and stakeholder adoption
  • Run prototype-first cycles to test new product surfaces and new ways of presenting data to executives
  • Shape product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on highest-leverage opportunities across custom ers and emergent capabilities
  • Pull customers toward frontier thinking on what's possible, and synthesize feedback streams into product requirements that work across deployments
  • Guide Research, Engineering, and Analytics teams to define what ships and when – shaping sprint cadence, calibrating scope, and holding the line on quality
You may be a good fit if you have
Strong full-stack data product capability with design intuition
  • 6+ years building and shipping data/analytics products, applied in mission-critical organizational or business-operational context
  • Strong product craftsmanship: familiarity with AI-collaborative building, UX research, interaction design, and PRDs
  • Strong data/analytics experience: developing new metrics, analyzing behavior, and translating findings into product decisions
  • Skepticism of vanity metrics; interest in measuring true-impact outcomes
  • Track record of independently driving features from prototype to production at scale
Deep conviction about human capability and perspectives on AI
  • Deep curiosity about how humans and AI work together
  • Strong perspective on how technology should enhance human capabilities rather than diminish them
  • A point of view on what humane approaches to AI deployment look like – and willingness to make that case to customers whose first instinct is to cut headcount
Research mindset with product execution
  • Comfort with ambiguity and exploring undefined problem spaces
  • Ability to rapidly prototype, test with users, navigate ambiguity, and iterate toward production
  • Strong instincts for product design and user experience, even without formal design training
  • Rigorous about measurement – defining success up front and updating beliefs based on insight and feedback
Strategic leadership and customer credibility
  • Elite communicator capable of interfacing with our engineers, analysts, non-technical teammates, and our customer stakeholders who sit across that spectrum
  • Experience setting vision, shaping team strategy, and building conviction across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong sense of prioritization – knowing what to build now, what to defer, and what to cut
  • Track record of influencing roadmaps and decisions beyond your immediate team
Strong candidates may also have
  • Founder or early-stage operator experience where scope was wide and you wore many hats
  • Strong technical data fluency – comfortable in SQL, modern data tools (dbt, BigQuery, semantic modeling), and reading code well enough to be a credible counterpart to engineers
  • Experience building AI-native product experiences or working with LLMs in production
  • Background in people analytics or organizational psychology; built data or analytics products with organizational data, behavioral telemetry, sentiment, or some combination
What this role is not

This is a hands-on, founding-team product lead role with broad scope and high autonomy at a startup’s inflection point. You'll define the function, ship the work, and steer what MatterMore becomes by interfacing directly and closely with customers. If you're looking to step into an established function with direct reports and limited customer interaction, this isn't the right fit.
