Job summary

Novartis is seeking a Director of Portfolio Analytics to lead major analytics workstreams and shape methodologies for prioritization, valuation, and risk across enterprise and therapeutic areas.

The role partners with senior leaders to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations, mentor colleagues, and drive continuous improvement of PDA tools and standards. A strong background in pharma analytics and MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree with strong analytical background.
• Significant pharmaceutical industry experience in R&D or commercialization.
• Deep experience with portfolio analytics, valuation, forecasting, scenario planning.
• Ability to influence in a matrixed environment without formal authority.
• Proven track record of turning analyses into senior-level recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead major portfolio analytics workstreams, including portfolio reviews and long-range assessments.
• Shape methodologies for prioritization, valuation, risk, and scenario planning.
• Provide senior stakeholders with clear interpretation of portfolio dynamics and implications for investment.
• Serve as a senior PDA thought partner for enterprise, franchise, TA, and EPI stakeholders.
• Lead development of senior-ready materials synthesizing analyses into clear recommendations.
• Mentor colleagues in analytical framing and stakeholder management.
