Job description

About Moloco:

Moloco is an AI-native performance advertising company, bringing the power of AI advertising to the open internet. Founded in 2013 by machine learning engineers who had built AI advertising systems inside the world's largest technology companies, Moloco began from a shared mission: to build that same engine for the open internet.

Today, Moloco is one company with two businesses, built on the same compound AI system. Moloco Ads is our AI-native performance advertising platform, helping mobile app marketers acquire, retain, and re-engage high-value users across the open internet. Moloco Commerce Media is our AI-native retail media platform, enabling retailers and marketplaces to turn their platforms into thriving ad businesses. Both are powered by CARA (Compound Ad Recommendation Architecture), the AI system behind every Moloco product.

At Moloco, we bring together those who've already solved hard problems and those with the drive to. Here, we work on some of the complex problems in AI advertising, at a scale and level of sophistication very few companies can offer. Come build what's next.

The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco:

Technology is redefining how organizations attract, support, and develop talent. As the Head of People Technology, you will shape the technology strategy that powers our People organization, ensuring our systems, AI capabilities, and digital experiences enable the business to scale while delivering an exceptional employee experience.

Reporting to the Senior Director of People Enablement, you will lead the People Technology function and define the long-term vision for our AI-first People Technology ecosystem. You will oversee the strategy, governance, and evolution of our technology stack while identifying opportunities to simplify work, leverage AI and automation, and build intuitive employee experiences.

This role is ideal for a builder. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems through technology, rapidly prototyping solutions, and creating AI-powered products and workflows that transform how work gets done. You'll know when to buy, configure, or build technology to deliver the greatest business value, always balancing innovation with simplicity, scalability, and long-term sustainability.

You'll partner closely with cross functional leaders to build a connected, AI-native ecosystem that enables intelligent automation, trusted data, and exceptional employee experiences.

The Opportunity:
  • Define the People Technology Strategy & Architecture
    • Develop and execute a multi-year People Technology strategy aligned with business priorities and the future needs of our workforce.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities to continuously modernize the People Technology ecosystem.
    • Lead technology architecture decisions, ensuring solutions are modular, scalable, secure, and built to evolve.
    • Make thoughtful build vs. buy decisions that maximize business value, speed, and long-term maintainability.
  • Build an AI-Native People Technology Ecosystem
    • Design and build AI-powered products and experiences that simplify work for employees, managers, candidates, and the People Team.
    • Build modular architecture that enables new capabilities to be introduced quickly without reengineering the technology stack.
  • Think Like a Builder
    • Rapidly prototype, iterate, and ship solutions using AI, APIs, and scripting platforms.
    • Continuously challenge existing processes and redesign them using AI and automation.
    • Deliver in short development cycles, balancing speed with quality, governance, and security.
    • Create reusable products and workflows that scale across the organization.
  • Accelerate Innovation Through AI & Automation
    • Design, prototype, and deploy AI-enabled solutions that improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
    • Balance innovation with governance, simplicity, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
  • Enable Trusted People Data
    • Design and own People data architecture, including data models, integrations, governance, and data pipelines.
    • Establish standards for data quality, security, governance, and compliance across the People Technology ecosystem.
  • Lead Technology Operations & Vendor Strategy
    • Establish a disciplined operating model through structured intake, prioritization, sprint planning, and release management.
    • Own strategic vendor relationships, contracts, product roadmaps, and technology investments.
    • Continuously evaluate vendor capabilities and emerging technologies to ensure our technology ecosystem evolves alongside business needs.
  • Build a High-Performing Team
    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing People Technology team.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, experimentation, and continuous learning
What You’ll Bring:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading People Technology or in Engineering designing systems at scale

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing multi-year technology strategies that support business growth
  • Deep expertise with enterprise People technology & ecosystems
  • Experience leading complex technology implementations, platform optimization initiatives, and organizational change
  • Strong understanding of HR systems integrations, access controls, reporting, and data integrity practices
  • Experience supporting compliance, audit, SOX, requirements within HR systems
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships & influence at all levels of the organization
  • Experience managing enterprise technology vendors and strategic technology investments (experience making build vs buy decisions)
