Job summary

United Way NCA is seeking a dynamic Director of Partner and Volunteer Engagement in Washington, DC. This hybrid role leads nonprofit partnerships, volunteer engagement, and capacity building within Community Impact, reporting to the VP of Community Impact & Engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit, community engagement, volunteer engagement, partnership development, program management, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with nonprofit, corporate, government, philanthropic, and community partners.
• Experience designing meaningful volunteer experiences and engagement opportunities.
• Experience managing and developing staff and/or teams.
• Demonstrated success planning and directing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives within budget and with measurable results.
• Experience using data and performance measures to evaluate programs, partnerships, and engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen the United Way NCA nonprofit network and partnerships.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer engagement strategy.
• Direct the nonprofit participation guidelines for partner engagement and workplace campaigns.
• Lead nonprofit capacity-building, technical assistance, and training efforts.
• Align partner and volunteer engagement with strategic priorities and plans.
• Lead and manage a cross-functional team to deliver results and manage budgets.
