Job summary

American Life Financial Partners, LLC seeks an experienced Vice President of Investment Operations to lead the operational infrastructure supporting the organization’s insurance asset management program in New York City. The role oversees closings, settlements, reconciliations, and data management across multiple asset classes.

The VP will work with Investment, Treasury, Accounting, and Compliance teams, as well as external managers and vendors, to build scalable processes and strong controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six+ years of progressive experience in investment operations or related field.
• Experience with investment closings, trade settlement, cash reconciliation, and reporting.
• Experience managing external service providers and leading staff.
• Experience with loan administration or investment accounting systems required.
• Insurance investment operations or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily investment operations including closings, settlements, reconciliation, and booking.
• Ensure data reflected across custodial, loan admin, accounting, and portfolio systems.
• Manage operations across private credit, loans, bonds, equities, derivatives, and more.
• Oversee transition to a new loan administrator with planning and data validation.
• Manage relationships with custodians, asset managers, vendors, and counterparties.
• Develop scalable workflows for closing, settlement, reporting, billing, and data mgmt.
• Monitor investment returns, cash flows, valuations, and portfolio performance.
• Provide portfolio reporting for leadership, audits, and regulatory exams.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure liquidity, compliance, and oversight.
