Job summary

Aquent partners with a prominent energy sector company to recruit a Lead Internal Audit professional. You will guide risk-based audit activities, deliver strategic reports, and drive key investigations, empowering risk mitigation and process improvement across critical functions.

You will manage teams, elevate audit execution standards, and advise management on governance, control design, and performance metrics in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in audit, accounting, finance, compliance, or operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading audit engagements and managing teams.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the internal audit strategy, aligning with enterprise risk priorities.
• Cultivate relationships with management and serve as primary audit liaison.
• Identify emerging risks and advise on governance and risk mitigation.
• Oversee advisory engagements and optimize audit methodologies with data analytics/AI.
• Mentor audit professionals and monitor Management Action Plans.
