Our team of 60+ lawyers are located around the world, and the OKX Chief Legal Officer is based in the United States.

About the Role

This is an essential, high-profile role leading Intergovernmental and regulatory affairs for OKX in the EEA and UK. Your role will be to lead our engagement with regulators, policymakers, and government stakeholders across the region. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of policy, regulation, and business strategy, and is critical to our ability to operate and grow in regulated markets globally. You will serve as a trusted representative of the company in government and regulatory forums, shape our policy positions, and work closely with senior leadership to ensure our regulatory strategy keeps pace with an evolving global landscape.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute a global government relations strategy aligned to the company's business objectives and expansion priorities
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators, government agencies, legislative bodies, and industry associations across key jurisdictions
  • Monitor, analyse, and interpret regulatory and legislative developments (including MiCA, DORA, FSMA and equivalent frameworks) and translate their implications for internal stakeholders
  • Represent the company in regulatory consultations, policy roundtables, and industry working groups
  • Develop the company's policy positions and draft regulatory submissions, consultation responses, and position papers
  • Partner with the wider Legal team as well as colleagues from Compliance, Product, Communications and Business teams to ensure regulatory considerations are embedded in business decisions
  • Advise senior leadership and the Board on geopolitical and regulatory risk
  • Lead and grow a team of government relations and public policy professionals
What We're Looking For
  • 12+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs — ideally with exposure to financial services or emerging technology
  • Deep understanding of the global crypto and digital assets regulatory landscape
  • Existing relationships with regulators or government officials in EEA and UK
  • Experience engaging directly with regulators — whether from industry, government, or a regulatory body itself
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex regulatory concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Strategic thinker who can operate at both a policy level and a practical, execution-oriented level
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with competing priorities
Why Join Us
  • Shape regulatory strategy at one of the most dynamic moments in the history of digital finance
  • Direct access to senior leadership and meaningful influence on business decisions
  • Competitive compensation including token/equity participation
  • Flexible, global working environment
