Every participant is a real, verified individual, creating a trusted environment centered on social interaction as much as competition. Pure Interactive is backed by leading investors including LeftLane Capital, Drive by DraftKings, Tusk Ventures, Hidden Capital, MaC Venture Capital, Ludlow Ventures, Z Fellows, and Nomo Ventures, supporting its growth and long-term vision.

Role Description

The Head of Human Resources is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, United States, responsible for building and leading the HR function at Pure Interactive. This role oversees HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational development to support a fast-growing, highly regulated gaming and social platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations and performance processes, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws. This role also leads recruitment initiatives, HR systems implementation, and people analytics to inform data-driven decisions across the organization.

You will:
  • Own employee onboarding from signed offer through the first weeks, coordinating paperwork, equipment, account setup, and introductions so every new hire can hit the ground running.
  • Manage Gusto, including employee records, new-hire setup, payroll coordination, and ongoing employee updates, keeping everything accurate and on time.
  • Own company merchandise, coordinating design, ordering, inventory, and distribution so the team has branded gear they are proud to wear.
  • Coordinate office move logistics, managing vendors, timelines, deliveries, and employee communications to minimize disruption and get the new space ready for the team.
  • Plan milestone dinners and team events, handling venue selection, reservations, budgets, and execution to celebrate company achievements and bring people together.
  • Manage employee benefits and perks, supporting enrollment, coordinating with providers, and making it easy for employees to understand and use what’s available.
  • Run first-round candidate screens, assessing alignment with role requirements and sharing clear feedback with hiring managers to keep the hiring process moving.
  • Keep the office stocked and the team fed, managing snacks, meals, dietary preferences, and vendor relationships to deliver a consistently great in-office experience.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in people operations, workplace operations, recruiting coordination, or a similarly hands‑on role, ideally at a fast-growing company.
  • Exceptional organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage onboarding, vendors, events, and employee requests simultaneously.
  • Clear, thoughtful communication and sound judgment, including discretion with sensitive employee and candidate information.
  • Comfort managing Gusto or similar HR systems, employee records, and benefits administration.
  • A service‑oriented mindset and high standards for the employee experience; you notice what needs doing and take ownership.
  • Must be able to work on‑site in our New York City office.
  • Free Equinox membership for the in‑person team
  • Dinner provided in the office every night
  • Up to $60/day for other meals when in the office (in‑person team)
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with 100% of premiums covered by the company, starting on your first day
  • Weekly dry cleaning and laundry service for the in‑person team
