Job description

A world-renowned Hedge Fund is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join as the Head of High-Frequency Trading (HFT). Role and Responsibilities:

As the Head of High-Frequency Trading (HFT), you will play a pivotal role in our firm's success by providing strategic leadership and direction to our HFT operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and empowering a dynamic team of quantitative traders who are focused on researching, interpreting, and capitalizing on the global trading markets.
• Taking ownership of projects, strategy inputs, and improving profitability, while holding team members accountable for achieving results and demonstrating our firm's values.
• Collaborating closely with other teams, such as technology, research, and risk management, to optimize trading strategies and enhance performance.
• Managing and overseeing our high frequency trading operations, including trade execution, risk management, and performance monitoring.

Qualifications:

• A proven track record of successful high-frequency trading experience in a quantitative trading firm or a similar environment, with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of market microstructure, statistical arbitrage, and other high-frequency trading strategies.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or other relevant languages used in quantitative trading.
• Experience in managing risk and developing risk management systems for high-frequency trading.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make quick decisions under pressure.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as mathematics, computer science, finance, or engineering.
