Job description

About Kamino

Kamino’s mission is to create liquidity and utility for every asset. We want the world’s best investments to be available through the financial platforms people already trust, and we want investors to be able to borrow against what they own when they need liquidity, instead of having to sell.

Today, the most valuable assets in the world are often the least useful to own. Trillions of dollars sit in private markets, behind high minimums and holding periods that can run for years. Tokenization is starting to move these assets onto shared, programmable infrastructure, but putting an asset onchain is only the first step. To be useful, it still needs distribution, compliance, servicing, credit and liquidity.

Kamino already runs the credit and liquidity engine at scale. It is the largest credit protocol on Solana and the largest credit platform for real-world assets onchain, with more than $650 billion in cumulative transaction volume and more than $20 billion in loans originated.

Now we are building the rest of that system for institutions. Kamino recently named Yieldstreet co-founder Michael Weisz as CEO and is building a new HQ in New York, alongside the asset managers and financial platforms that will shape this market. Almost none of that market exists yet, and we intend to build it.

Build and lead growth across Kamino’s direct and partner-distributed financial products.

The role

Kamino is hiring a Head of Growth to turn our direct and partner-distributed financial products into sustained growth in funded customers, retained capital and revenue. You will own the growth strategy across acquisition, activation, retention and cross-product adoption, deciding where to invest and which approaches can scale.

This is a hands-on function-building role. You will own the budget, establish measurement and launch the foundational programs before hiring the team to expand them. Your remit includes lifecycle, referrals, partner distribution and paid acquisition—not a single channel or discipline.

Success means customers put capital to work, stay active and generate lasting value after acquisition and incentive costs.

Key responsibilities
  • Build and lead the Growth function. Own strategy, budget and forecasts across direct and partner-distributed products. Launch the foundational programs yourself, then hire the team to scale them.

  • Acquire funded customers. Build paid acquisition alongside other high-potential channels. Own channel economics, creative testing and conversion across marketing-controlled journeys.

  • Build lifecycle and retention. Establish the CRM, automation and customer programs that drive repeat use, cross-product adoption, retained capital and reactivation.

  • Activate partner distribution. Work with Business Development and partners to turn access through wallets, exchanges and financial applications into funded customer activity and revenue.

  • Invest against measurable results. Own attribution and experimentation. Allocate spending and incentives based on customer quality, incremental growth and payback—including whether activity lasts after rewards end.

What you bring
  • 10+ years of growth experience, including senior ownership of growth for a D2C financial product and direct experience serving U.S. customers.

  • A record of growing funded customers, retained balances, repeat activity or revenue while maintaining strong acquisition economics and customer quality.

  • Experience building a Growth function in a lean company: setting direction, doing the foundational work personally, and hiring and developing the team that scaled it.

  • The ability to lead across acquisition and lifecycle, with deep expertise in at least one of paid acquisition or lifecycle and the judgment to hire strong specialists. Paid acquisition is one part of the broader growth remit.

  • Experience building CRM and lifecycle systems using segmentation, automation and controlled experiments, and improving conversion across campaign journeys, landing pages, referrals and other marketing-controlled surfaces.

  • Ownership of material growth budgets, with strong judgment across attribution, incrementality, cohort quality, customer value, payback and forecasting. You allocate investment according to customer quality and channel economics.

  • Sound judgment around customer trust, compliance and platform policies, and clear executive communication across Marketing, Product, Design, Data, Finance and Business Development.

  • Daily fluency with AI tools and workflows that improve the speed and quality of your work.

STRONGLY PREFERRED
  • Direct experience growing crypto, digital-asset or onchain products.

  • Experience with financial products where growth depends on funded balances and repeat transactions.

  • Experience growing products through another company’s customer experience.

  • Experience building growth across a connected portfolio of financial products.

Working at Kamino

You will work directly with senior leadership. You will partner with Product Marketing and Brand on the campaigns customers see. You will work with Product, Design, and Product Data where acquisition and lifecycle journeys meet the product. Business Development will bring new distribution routes into the growth portfolio. This is a full-time role based in New York City. We work together in the office four days per week. Kamino may provide immigration sponsorship for an exceptional candidate who meets the experience bar and can work from New York.

Compensation and benefits

The expected annual base salary range for this role is USD $210,000–$260,000. Kamino expects to offer a competitive package consisting of base salary, a performance-based bonus and long-term KMNO participation.

Final terms will reflect the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and agreed scope of the role.

Benefits and applicable employment terms will be documented as part of the formal offer.

Kamino is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building an inclusive workplace. Kamino does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
