Polaris Inc. seeks a Senior Engineering Manager for Functional Safety and Product Cybersecurity to lead a multi-site team across safety and security disciplines.

You will shape risk-based approaches, mentor engineers, and partner with Chief Engineers to align strategy with product roadmaps. This role requires deep experience in Functional Safety and cybersecurity methods, ISO standards, and the ability to balance regulatory demands with customer value, cost, and development pace across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Systems, or Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in product development, embedded systems, or related engineering fields.
• 5+ years of leading teams or complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience applying Functional Safety and Product Cybersecurity methods across product lifecycles.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, ASPICE, AUTOSAR, DevSecOps.
• Not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and grow the Functional Safety and Product Cybersecurity organization across sites.
• Own hiring, coaching, performance management, resource planning, and capability development.
• Translate technical strategy into priorities, plans, and execution.
• Improve risk-based, fit-for-purpose safety and cybersecurity approaches.
• Balance safety/regulatory requirements with customer value, cost, and speed.
• Improve methods, tools, automation, governance, and product coverage.
• Build alignment across product engineering, business units, systems, electrical, software, validation, quality, compliance, legal, supply chain, and leadership.
• Translate complex product safety and cybersecurity risks into clear actions.
• Integrate Functional Safety and Product Cybersecurity throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434 compliance; manage plans, budgets, roadmaps.
