Job summary

Electra is seeking an Engineering Manager – Flight Control System to lead the IPT and people management for the EL9 FCS. You will inherit the architecture and drive design, verification, and certification efforts to deliver a certifiable configuration.

You will coordinate across systems, avionics, actuation, propulsion and flight test, building a high-performing team and delivering on cost, schedule, and safety targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• ARP4754A familiarity applied to aircraft systems.
• Familiarity with integrated aircraft systems (actuation, avionics, sensors, propulsion).
• Involvement in aircraft certification with FAA or equivalents.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Flight Control System development from design through certification.
• Lead system integration across actuation, avionics, propulsion, and structures.
• Define and execute certification plans and safety assessments (FHA, FMEA, FTA).
• Build and lead a high-performing flight controls team.
• Oversee integration, verification, and flight test to meet performance targets.
