Job summary

Wharton San Francisco seeks an Associate Director of Event and Venue Operations to lead strategic event planning and on-site execution across multiple venues, including during the transition to The Cube. This hands-on leader partners with Wharton leadership, faculty, students, alumni, and external clients to deliver high-quality events with scalable operations.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience in event operations, strong vendor management, and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–7 years of relevant event operations experience requested.
• Experience overseeing event strategy, planning, operations, and execution across complex programs.
• Experience supervising and developing event staff and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in event management software and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute event strategy and delivery across Wharton San Francisco venues.
• Serve as primary client contact from concept to post-event closeout.
• Direct space setup, vendor activity, and on-site execution; manage contingencies.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and compliance with university policies.
• Oversee operations across multiple venues, expanding to The Cube transition.
