Job summary

Boom Technology, Inc. is seeking a high-impact engineering leader to own and build the test programs for the Superpower and Symphony programs.

You will shape instrumentation, procedures, acceptance criteria, and safety standards while growing the test organization to meet ambitious development goals. You will drive three back-to-back development campaigns, ensuring on-time delivery under schedule pressure with a focus on safety, quality, and customer readiness.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in test.
• Led large-scale testing with a big team on expensive hardware under schedule pressure.
• Principle author of a major test campaign, not just following procedures.
• Directly managed medium or large teams and accountable for performance.
• Graduated from a recognized professional test curriculum or equivalent on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect the engine test program from a blank sheet: instrumentation, procedures, acceptance criteria, and standards.
• Build and lead the test team: hire it, train it, and enable rapid execution.
• Design the new control room and curriculum to certify personnel for live testing.
• Run three engine development campaigns back to back, with a paying customer in view.
• Maintain safety and quality under scheduling pressure.
