Job description

  • Take charge of end-to-end planning and technical roadmap formulation for multi-fingered dexterous hands from scratch; build and lead cross-disciplinary hardware and software teams, and define product forms, performance indicator systems as well as technical evolution paths.
  • Lead the R&D of the hardware system for dexterous hands, covering design of miniature transmission and driving solutions (tendon-driven actuation, linkage mechanisms, miniature lead screws, etc.), structural layout within confined spaces, material selection, thermal design, and integration of tactile force sensing.
  • Develop embedded software and underlying real-time control systems for dexterous hands to realize high-precision motion control of multiple degrees of freedom, hybrid force-position control, impedance/admittance control and grasping sequence planning, guaranteeing millisecond-level closed-loop response and compliant manipulation performance.
  • Establish the sensing system of dexterous hands; integrate and develop multi-modal sensors including fingertip tactile sensors, array pressure sensors, joint torque sensors and temperature sensors, so as to build a closed sensing loop for delicate object identification, slip detection and dexterous manipulation.
  • Construct a performance testing and reliability verification system for dexterous hands; formulate testing specifications for core metrics such as dexterity, grasping success rate, load capacity, service life and consistency, and drive full-process engineering implementation from prototypes to pilot batches and mass production.
  • Collaborate closely with teams responsible for robot main body hardware, motion control, brain models and embodied software; achieve seamless integration and systematic joint debugging of dexterous hands on robot platforms to support the deployment of high-level tasks including delicate manipulation and tool usage in real-world scenarios.
  • Continuously track cutting-edge technologies in dexterous manipulation, including but not limited to bionic design, innovative driving and sensing technologies, learning-based efficient grasping algorithms, and facilitate the transformation of technical research outcomes into product iterations.
