Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in the United States seeks a Head of Data Science and Machine Learning to develop and execute the data innovation strategy for PCC Metals and Forgings Technology. Lead data analytics, PKM projects, and digital twins across manufacturing processes and products.

The role emphasizes mentoring teams, setting standards, and delivering financial returns through advanced analytics and AI-based pattern recognition. Remote work is allowed with travel to PCC plants.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Materials Science (preferred) or related engineering field.
• 10+ years of experience in the field.
• Capability to develop/modify scripts to automate tasks (Excel, Matlab/Mathcad, Python).
• Finite element modeling experience and applications.
• Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras.
• Ability to apply systems engineering thinking to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Support the link between processing variables and outcomes with data science.
• Develop and execute data innovation strategy within PCC Metals and Forgings Technology Function.
• Lead data pipelines, data mining, and ML plans for projects.
• Direct Industry 4.0 initiatives from pilot to capital projects.
• Drive plant digitization with data extraction and analytics.
