This is a highly visible executive leadership opportunity for a data science leader who can combine deep analytical expertise with market-facing thought leadership. You'll lead research initiatives, shape product strategy, influence executive decision-making, and help define the future of identity and fraud intelligence.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow a high-performing team of Data Scientists, Researchers, and Analysts.
- Develop innovative research around fraud, identity risk, compliance, and emerging financial crime trends.
- Leverage large-scale behavioral, transactional, device, and network datasets to identify evolving threats and uncover actionable insights.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, AI, and Executive Leadership teams to transform research findings into product innovation and competitive differentiation.
- Serve as a public thought leader through industry conferences, publications, customer engagements, and market-facing research.
- Translate complex analytical findings into compelling narratives for executives, regulators, customers, and technical stakeholders.
- Influence strategic business decisions through data-driven insights and forward-looking intelligence.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Fraud Analytics, Risk Research, Quantitative Economics, or a related discipline.
- Deep expertise in fraud prevention, identity verification, financial crime, AML, risk management, or adjacent domains.
- Strong background in causal inference, econometrics, machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Experience analyzing large-scale datasets and extracting business-critical insights.
- Proven success building, mentoring, and leading high-performing technical teams.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage both highly technical and executive audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in fintech, financial services, payments, credit, trust & safety, or identity verification.
- Exposure to graph analytics, network modeling, fraud ring detection, or advanced AI/ML applications.
- Published research, conference speaking experience, or recognized thought leadership within the data science community.
