Job summary

Capital One National Association seeks a Senior Director of Data Scientist for the Global Payment Network to lead data-driven initiatives across payments. You will partner with data scientists, engineers and product managers to deliver a product customers love and leverage cloud-based tools to scale insights.

You will build models end-to-end, mentor teams, and translate complex analysis into business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years of data analytics experience or Master’s plus 8 years or PhD plus 5 years.
• At least 4 years of experience with open source programming languages for large-scale data analysis.
• At least 4 years of experience with machine learning.
• At least 4 years of experience with relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers.
• Leverage technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, Spark to extract insights from large data.
• Build machine learning models end-to-end from design to implementation.
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals.
