Job summary

Saragossa is seeking a visionary head of data science to own the research agenda and set the standard for how insights are generated and used across the business. You will define hypotheses, design and oversee complex open-ended projects from start to finish, and decide which data to buy and how to acquire it.

You will lead and grow a technical team, translating quantitative findings for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Around ten years of experience in data science, statistics or related field.
• At least three years in a managerial or technical leadership role.
• A strong quantitative background is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the data research agenda and shape what comes next.
• Define hypotheses, design and run complex open-ended projects from start to finish.
• Decide which data is worth buying and how to acquire it.
• Lead and grow a technical team and communicate findings across the business.
• Present complex quantitative insights to non-technical stakeholders.
