Job summary

The United Nations in New York is seeking a Chief of Compliance (P-5) to lead the development and operation of the organization’s compliance program. You will ensure proper documentation, staff awareness, and tool support across the unit.

You will oversee the steps of the compliance process—risk identification, policy establishment, and implementation—and act as the Compliance Focal Point for new initiatives, including financial instrument implementations. Application deadline: 11 December 2026.

Responsibilities

• Leads the ongoing development, enhancements, and day-to-day operations of OIM's compliance program, ensuring the compliance program is well documented, well known to OIM staff, supported by appropriate tools.
• Ensures that the steps in OIM's compliance process - compliance risk identification, establishing policies and procedures and implementing them - are appropriate and are undertaken in a timely manner by OIM Staff to whom those functions have been assigned.
• Serves as the Compliance Focal Point for new endeavors of the Fund including the implementation of new financial instruments.
