Firecrawl, a fast-growing developer tools company, seeks a Brand Lead to own our brand positioning, voice, launch copy, and social presence. You’ll partner with founders and product to ensure the world understands and chooses Firecrawl.
This on-site SF role requires a track record of 4+ years owning brand at a developer-facing or technical product company, with proven organic growth and strong writing ability to land with a technical audience.
You'll own how Firecrawl shows up in the world: the positioning, the voice, the social presence, the launch copy, and everything in between. Right now, we're one of the fastest-growing developer tools on the internet. This role is about making sure the world knows it, understands it, and chooses us over everything else. Salary Range: $244,000–$277,000 USD/year Equity Range: Competitive equity. Details shared during the process. Location: San Francisco, CA (SF HQ). On-site, five days a week. Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 4+ years owning brand at a developer-facing or technical product company Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. We're not able to sponsor US visas right now, though that may change down the line.
Firecrawl is the easiest way to turn the web into data AI agents can use. One API call converts any URL into clean, LLM-ready markdown or structured data. It's the boring-hard problem everyone building with LLMs eventually hits, solved.
We hit 8 figures in ARR in year one and more than doubled it in year two. We have 180k+ GitHub stars, putting us in the top 50 repositories of all time, and developers, agents, and category-defining AI companies build on us every day. Growth like this is rare, and we're just getting started.
We're a small team punching far above our weight, working out of SF HQ and our new Toronto Hub. Everyone here owns a real piece of the product and company, end to end, and runs it themselves. No hiding behind process or headcount.
This is a place for people who want to work at the frontier: an AI company building the infrastructure other AI companies run on, not one bolting AI onto an existing product. We move fast, go deep, and are building the tools superintelligence will rely on to gather data from the web.
Backgrounds that often do well: in-house brand at a developer tools or infra company, head of marketing at an early-stage API startup, founding marketer who owned everything from positioning to social.
We operate at an absurd level of urgency because the window for what we're building won't stay open forever. If that excites you, keep reading. If it doesn't, no hard feelings, but this role probably isn't for you.
A quick conversation to get to know each other before we go deep. We'll talk about what you've built, your instincts on developer brand, and what you'd prioritize first. Time for your questions too.
Walk us through a real example: a time you owned positioning for a technical product and it worked. Then we'll dig into a live scenario: how would you differentiate Firecrawl against our closest competitors? Come ready to think out loud. We care about taste and reasoning, not a rehearsed pitch.
Culture, pace, ownership, and how you like to work. Time for your questions too.
Work on a real brand problem with the team: a positioning rewrite, a launch brief, or a social content sprint. Paid at a contractor rate. We evaluate on taste, sharpness, and speed. Remote-friendly, and we'll flex around your current commitments.
We move fast after the trial.
If you want to own the brand of one of the fastest-growing developer tools on the internet, and you have the writing and instincts to back it up, this is your shot.
