Job summary

Venturi Astrolab, Inc. in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Lead Avionics Manufacturing Engineer to build and lead a team responsible for end-to-end manufacturing of high-reliability avionics hardware, including wiring, PCBA, assembly, environmental testing, and systems integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM field required.
5+ years in manufacturing or development of high-reliability hardware.
Experience leading engineers and developing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Build and lead a team of avionics manufacturing engineers including hiring and direction.
Own full lifecycle of avionics manufacturing: process development, qualification, NPI, production ramp, sustainment.
Partner with Responsible Engineers for DFM/DFX feedback and design reviews.
Set team standards for process development, validation, work instructions, and documentation.
Own production readiness, capacity planning, and delivery schedules for avionics hardware.
Root cause production failures and drive MRB corrective actions.
