Job summary

Referment seeks a Director of Analytics to shape how data drives decisions, from product and growth to finance and operations. You will own analytics strategy, lead the team, and perform hands-on work to build reliable data models and self-service reporting.

The role focuses on data quality, semantic layers, and AI-enabled insights, with collaboration across teams and a strong emphasis on scalable infrastructure and mentoring.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in analytics, BI or data science with leadership experience.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with dbt-based modelling and Looker experience.
• Experience applying generative AI or LLMs to BI or data problems.
• Ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver an analytics roadmap aligned with business goals and executive decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Growth, Finance and Operations to translate questions into analyses and recommendations.
• Oversee SQL and dbt models and the Looker semantic layer for consistent metrics.
• Introduce AI-powered analytics tools to improve data access and reduce analysis time.
• Manage and mentor the analytics team, set priorities and support development.
• Balance long-term infrastructure work with high-priority ad hoc analysis.
