Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Machine Learning Engineer – Document Digitization to design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable AI solutions that transform how documents are processed.

You will lead end-to-end AI/ML lifecycles, leverage LLMs for automated workflows, and mentor teams across engineering disciplines. You will work in a high-impact environment, applying cutting-edge AI to financial document processing, with a focus on governance, reliability, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python for building production-grade AI services and data/document pipelines.
• Strong working proficiency in Java, including building APIs and microservices with Spring Boot; frontend knowledge is a plus.
• Hands-on experience delivering LLM-powered/GenAI applications in production with evaluation, observability, guardrails, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with MLOps/LLMOps practices (CI/CD, testing, deployment, monitoring).
• Experience with cloud-native delivery (AWS) including SageMaker/Bedrock, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of AI-powered document digitization solutions extracting info from diverse documents.
• Manage end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle: training, validation, deployment, monitoring, continuous improvement.
• Employ generative AI and LLMs to automate document workflows.
• Build scalable document digitization pipelines using Python, AI frameworks, and cloud tech.
• Provision and manage cloud resources using Terraform and AWS services like SageMaker/Bedrock.
• Ensure scalability, security, and governance of AI/ML solutions.
