Job summary

Garuda Ventures is looking for a skilled leader to build the procurement and supply chain function from the ground up in San Francisco. This role includes defining strategies, managing suppliers, and optimizing processes with AI. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in supply chain management, particularly in high-bar environments like robotics or electronics.

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $250,000 USD, accompanied by comprehensive health coverage, generous PTO, and potential equity options.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or supplier engineering, including time leading people.
• Technically fluent: reads a drawing, understands manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal, injection molding, PCBA).
• A sharp negotiator and communicator with suppliers, engineers, and executives alike.

Responsibilities

• Define procurement and supply chain strategy, operating model, and KPIs.
• Run sourcing and supplier management across mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical commodities.
• Deploy AI across the function to optimize sourcing and supplier risk monitoring.
