Job summary

Snorkel AI is seeking a seasoned Research Manager to lead a team focused on data evaluation, error analysis, and data valuation to predict model performance. You will drive the data design flywheel and translate findings into actionable benchmarks and datasets.

You'll synthesize model-failure insights, guide product and customer-facing decisions, and mentor researchers to raise quality, rigor, and impact across multi-quarter roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in applied AI, ML, or research roles, with 4+ years managing technical teams.
• Strong ability to translate research and analysis into business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and storytelling to non-research audiences.
• Familiarity with data valuation or data attribution research is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own a multi-quarter roadmap centered on novel evaluation, error analysis, and data valuation techniques.
• Synthesize trends from model-failure analysis and benchmarking into recommendations on datasets to focus on and investments to make.
• Focus on data valuation techniques that quantify how Snorkel data improves model performance.
• Lead and grow a team of researchers, setting a high bar for quality, rigor and speed of execution.
• Act as the primary bridge between findings and Product, GTM, and customers.
