Job summary

Niuro is seeking a strategic AI leader to drive vision, execution, and governance for enterprise AI initiatives in San Jose. You will scale multi-disciplinary teams of AI, ML, and data engineers, and shape a hub-and-spoke operating model to embed generative AI across platforms and solutions.

You will balance executive-level strategy with hands-on delivery, define KPIs, and ensure responsible, ethical AI practices while partnering with cross-functional leaders to maximize ROI.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering or IT, with 8+ years deploying AI/ML in production environments.
• 3+ years of direct leadership experience managing ML engineers, data practitioners, or AI teams.
• C2 English level or higher.
• Strong foundation in ML, data architecture, distributed systems, and modern AI tooling, including LLMs and cloud platforms.

This position requires balancing high-level strategic planning with technical execution to deliver measurable business outcomes and ensure the responsible, ethical use of AI technologies.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in engineering or IT, with 8+ years specifically building, scaling, and deploying AI/ML systems in production environments
• 3+ years of direct leadership experience managing machine learning engineers, data practitioners, or AI teams
• C2 English level or higher
• Proven track record of defining and executing AI strategies that drive measurable product and business outcomes
• Strong technical foundation in machine learning, data architecture, distributed systems, and modern AI tooling, including LLMs and cloud platforms
• Ability to work onsite in San Jose, CA
• Hands-on experience with Deep Learning, Generative AI, Model Governance, MLOps.
