Job summary

Boston College High School seeks a Director of Advancement Services to provide strategic leadership across four pillars: Gift Processing, Database Management, Stewardship, and Prospect Development. You will manage a team including a Database Administrator and Development & Stewardship Officer, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and donor insights.

The role reports to the Vice President of Advancement and is part of the advancement leadership team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in advancement operations, gift administration, or database management.
• Experience with independent schools or higher education is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of charitable tax laws, gift accounting, and financial reconciliation.
• Proven ability to translate data into insights, donor pipelines, and strategy.
• Excellent written, verbal, and proofreading skills; collaborative spirit.
• Commitment to Jesuit Catholic education and school mission.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Gift Processing & Fund Management, ensuring accurate recording and tax receipting of gifts.
• Lead Database Management & Systems, ensuring data integrity and PCI-compliant practices.
• Direct Stewardship & Donor Relations, including acknowledgement and reporting workflows.
• Lead Prospect Development, pipeline management, analytics, and briefing materials for leadership.
• Manage staff and cross-functional collaboration across advancement and school operations.
• Support fiscal year-end and donor-facing initiatives with flexibility for non-standard hours.
