Job description

We are partnered with a growing private global technology organization on a newly added Regional Head of Accounting (Director) position for their Atlanta office. This strategic leadership role will oversee accounting operations, financial governance, reporting, and controllership activities across North America while supporting select international entities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead accounting and controllership functions across multiple domestic and international legal entities.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Drive financial governance, compliance initiatives, and internal control effectiveness across the region.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insight and support key business decisions.
• Manage external audit relationships and ensure successful audit execution across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide leadership on complex accounting matters including consolidations, intercompany activity, and foreign currency transactions.
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing accounting teams across geographically dispersed locations.
• Champion process improvement, automation initiatives, and finance transformation projects and support acquisition integration activities.

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including experience leading multi-entity complex accounting and 4+ years in senior leadership.
• Deep understanding of internal controls, audits, statutory reporting, and financial compliance requirements.
• Experience in both IFRS and U.S. GAAP reporting environments preferred.
• Success leading direct reports and accounting teams through growth, transformation, and organizational change.
• ERP systems and leveraging technology experience to improve accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Experience within technology, SaaS, software, or other high-growth industries is highly desirable.
