Job summary

Rhone Apparel, Inc in Stamford, CT, is seeking a Sr. Manager, Digital Technical Design to lead the CLO 3D and 3D design function, defining strategy, standards, and team processes for how the brand designs, fits, and visualizes product in a virtual environment before production.

The role partners with Design, Merchandising, PCC, and overseas teams, mentoring CLO 3D experts, and driving 3D-first development while balancing physical sampling and workflow optimization to deliver assets on time.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical design with CLO 3D or similar software.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team and setting standards.
• Strong garment construction, pattern making, and fit judgment.
• Balance strategic ownership with hands-on involvement.
• Collaborate across Design, Merchandising, Production, PCC teams.
• Curiosity and willingness to pilot new tools and iterate.
• Familiarity with PLM systems and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead CLO 3D experts and set technical standards, with career paths.
• Define 3D strategy for gender, stages: Concept to Commercialization.
• Bridge HQ digital fit with PCC team to avoid duplication.
• Translate Quality Stages into practice with clear hand-offs.
• Align 3D outputs with design, merchandising, and GTM timelines.
• Manage digital asset library across categories and seasons.
• Track cycle time, sample counts, and fit-approval metrics.
• Stay current on advances and pilot new tools.
• Ensure 3D output translates to physical samples with quality.
