Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City seeks a fellowship-trained Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. This role provides surgical and non-surgical management of complex head and neck neoplasms and will join a productive division affiliated with KU Cancer Center.

The candidate will engage in teaching residents and fellows, participate in research, and collaborate across KU Health System, Kansas City

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree required.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited residency in Otolaryngology.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Otolaryngology.
• Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction.
• Expertise in microvascular free tissue transfer and complex reconstruction of head and neck defects.
• Experience in multidisciplinary management of patients with head and neck cancer.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Kansas and Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical and non-surgical management of head and neck cancers.
• Perform microvascular reconstruction and transoral robotic surgery where applicable.
• Join a division of four surgeons and associated staff across multiple sites.
• Engage in research and educate residents, medical students and fellows.
• Participate in translational research and clinical trials.
